SPEAKER

Executive Chef David Adjey is perhaps best known for his star turn on Restaurant Makeover, the international hit show in which he revives struggling restaurants by helping their owners reinvent their menus and their businesses, on limited budgets and within a few days. The transformative insight-and the sheer joy and fun he brings-could not come from a more qualified or charismatic person.

A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, Adjey apprenticed with master chefs in Italy, was named Best New Chef in California by the Frommers Guide, ran a top hotel in New York, starred in his own Absolut Ad, traded jokes and recipes with Jay Leno on The Tonight Show, opened his eponymous restaurant, Nectar, in Toronto, and was the personal chef to Dan Aykroyd, who calls him "a genius culinary talent." Adjey's latest book, Deconstructing the Dish: A Modern Day Cuisine, was released in September 2007 to great acclaim, and went into its second printing after only three weeks on the shelf. His new series, Restaurant 101 with David Adjey, to debut in 2008, will air throughout North America, and make him the only Canadian Food Network star with his own hour show.

What does Executive Chef David Adjey talk about?   Inspiring the Generation Y Workforce.
